• The ARC audio pass though will work for applications and any device connected directly to the television.

• I have a Vizio Soundbar with ARC support, with my Directv receiver going to an Xbox One, then to the soundbar, then to the Vizio TV, but audio is only limited to the signal coming before the TV. I connected an Optical cable from the TV back to the soundbar to get audio from other sources like the onboard apps, or devices connected to the other HDMI ports, but the receiver’s auto detect doesn’t work.
