How far apart can the second phone be from the main base and still work? My husband's office is about 3 miles from our home office. If we have one phone in each place, will they still work? Thank you.

No, they will not. These are not cellular, they are home cordless devices. I haven't tested the range, but it's likely close to ~150ft.

I would say that I am about 99% sure it will not reach any further than maybe 1000 feet from the base station. If you want three mile buy a good citizen band two way radio and have make sure there is a good line of sight between the two radios.

Louise - No; the range of a cordless phone is far less than 3 miles.

No. The range signal does not reach that far. I'd guess maybe within the mile but nothing more. I believe it mentions something about 3,500 feet.
