I called VTech and they kept saying this is a duplex phone. They must not realize what a duplex phone is. I have tested this phone with many people and while they are talking, they cannot hear me. When I am talking, they cannot break into the conversation. I also have a Panasonic cordless phone that is duplex and it works fine. You can always hear both sides of the conversation. I do NOT consider this phone duplex and even challenged the VTech customer service rep to count to 10 as I was counting to 10. She said she could only hear a couple of the numbers from my side. Hence, this phone is NOT duplex in my opinion.
