“Specifically, on the model CS5119-2, the online manual references a Menu selection of Announcement for recording an Answering Message of your own. However, in the Menu/Select button, the up and down arrows do not bring up any Announcement record option.”

Roger - We are sorry to hear that the VTech CS5119-2 does not work as expected. The telephone system does not have a built in answering machine. The unit which has a built in answering machine is the model VTech CS5129-2. Thank you, -VTech Support
