• Updated answer- Yes you can turn the ringer off on both phones. Did not see in the user manual the first time

• I just went through the user's manual and I couldn't find anything on turning the ringer off on either phones. The mute button will silence the handset ringer temporarily while the phone is ringing was the only thing mentioning silencing the ringer
