• This set has no answering machine within the unit. To get messages you must go through your carrier.

• Hi - The VTech CS5119-2 does not have an answering system. You may check model CS5129-2 or the CS6629-2 if you are interested in getting a phone with a built-in answering machine. Thank you for your interest!
