“For the water reservoir, I am assuming that comes out of the tank built in and we have to fill it up each time it is used up with regular tap water?”

Indeed, this countertop RO system saves you from the laborious installation process by not requiring you to connect it to your waterline; however, it also requires you to replenish the water when it runs out.
