• Yes , this will work in a PS4 , but you will need to reload the os for it to work. It can be downloaded for free from playstation.com

• My son replaced the HDD in his PS4 with a standard 2.5 inch form factor SATA laptop HDD. That drive worked well except it was 9 mm thick so he could not get the cover back on. This SSD has standard laptop dimentions and is only 7 mm thick. It should work fime and fit well.

• Yes it will just install the ps4 files to a thumb drive install the ssd to your ps4 and insert thumb drive with the ps4 files and let it run ,
