“Does anyone have details on the WD Discovery software that come with it? I'm wondering about scheduling, what happens if your PC is asleep, whether you can select specific folders to backup, etc.”

I used to use the WD Discovery software for a number of years before I switched to Acronis. It was easy to use and scheduling was quite simple. All my PCs (three laptops and three desktops) rarely sleep as I use all spare time for public computing projects. I love to see every thread of the CPU running at 100% along with high usage of the GPU. It would be easy for you to test whether the backup takes place when the computer is sleeping. I do remember that if a backup was missed for any reason it would let me know and allow a reschedule.
