Yes. You can use this external hard drive with any device that supports large USB hard drives including most desktops and laptops. With an appropriate adapter you can connect it to other devices, even some phones & tablets. However, this is a fairly bulky external hard drive and generally should not be physically moved around much. Also, it requires the included power adapter to function. Devices marketed towards laptops users assume that the user wants portability, and again, this external hard drive is rather bulky and not very portable.
