QuestionI received this WD Easystore 1TB from Best Buy when I had my data recovered from my crashed hard drive. There are NO instructions on how to use this drive or back-up instructions. I want to know how I can access my recovered data. No instructions!

QuestionIs this a hard drive that, if you do backups from your computer, you can use it to restore all? Such as the windows etc.? I have other WD external hard drives and do back ups regularly and they have come in handy to restore.

- Answer The Hard drive has software on it for Security. Many AV programs flag executable files as malware or viruses. I always suggest formatting the drive prior to use so #1 it's blank, and #2 its formatted to the correct format (NTFS, FAT32, whatever).
