“I just recently upgraded to a full frame camera and the drive no longer opens raw photos, only jpegs. It is a bigger image size but i dont think that should be a problem. Ive been trying to figure it out for a week!?”

Not a drive issue; probably that your photo editor doesn't have the necessary translator for your specific camera's RAW files. Check with your software vendor.
