“Has anyone tried removing this from its enclosure and installing it into a laptop or desktop as a secondary storage drive? This tends to go on sale for cheaper than an internal drive, and I'm curious if it would work or if WD did something proprietary.”

• I hooked this up with my desktop. I'm using this as my primary storage. No problem so far.
