“Does this have a power (off/on) switch? I'd like to leave it plugged in all the time & just turn the switch on when needed - is that an option? I'd like to have the drive plugged in (usb & power) and just turn the device on via a power switch to activate - does this come with a built in on/off switch?”

• No power switch, but easy to unplug external power plug. I have it on a separate power switched plug that I can easily turn off separately.

• It powers up only when being utilized. Otherwise, it is in a standby mode until something tries to access it. No "hard" power on/off switch.

• No power switch, but it goes into some sort of sleep mode when not being accessed.
