(e.g., Ubuntu 13.10, SteamOS, RHEL 7)? (It should -- I have yet to see one that will not work) If it is not officially supported/doesn't work, I will have to look elsewhere. Thank you.”

• Works for me with Linux Mint 17. There should be no problem with any Linux distribution.

• The WD My Book 3TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive can be reformatted to any file system needed for use with any operating system. However, Western Digital technical support only provides jumper configuration (for EIDE hard drive) and physical installation support for hard drives used in systems running the Linux/Unix operating systems
