I bought a 2 terabyte WD passport . All I want to do is select files to transfer to the external storage. I do not want to download the wd software. Just want to transfer files like using a flash drive. How do I do that? null

Just plug it in and use it. I never have downloaded their software to use.

Based on your concern, You can use the WD Discovery which allows you to download and keep up to date. You can also use the drive without the application.
