I"m new to this but if i wanted to download a game and put it on the hard drive, all i would need to do is plug it into the computer right? I'm just not good with this stuff null

Yes. Once you connect it to your laptop or computer it will go through an install prcoess.  When you save games or anything you just choose the drive as the save location.

Hello Roze, Please let us confirm that WD My Passport is a plug and play device which designed for windows and mac operating system. You could simply connect the drive through USB cable and use it.
