This is a plug and play device that has program software installed in it to install in your computer. The program is simple to use and offers a system back up as well.

The paperwork is in a file on the machine. After plugging it in to your computer go to "computer" and click on the unit and open the file that has the instructions

Mine came with paperwork and a USB cord. these drives are plug and play. you really don't need any paper work.

Correct. The documentation for many electronics are now kept online or are pre installed. In this case, you can find pdfs on the hard drive.

I never use paperwork. It is a plug and play drive. Smart store software is on the drive. Go to the Western Digital website for help
