• Absolutely. You may need to transfer it to a PC first, I don't have an iPhone, sorry.

• yes back everything up to your laptop, using apples iphotos and drag them all to the hdd!

• YES VIA a pc. I plugged the iPhone into my pc as well as the passport and copied the pictures from the phone to the passport

• ABSOLUTELY! I got this exact drive and an iPhone 6s myself. The drive itself has MANY different formatting options you can play around with until you get the one you want! Have fun & good luck!
