“I bought a WD_black hard drive and I thought it was able to support series XS games. Is there something I need to do or is there a certain one I need to buy? Or does it not support it? I have the 4TB WD_Black hard drive.”

You can only store them. The newer Series X/S requires the proprietary Seagate external SSD card.
