Had the same problem. so I bought the small Insigna sound bar and it fixed the problem.

Turn off the TV and then unplug from the power outlet. 2. Disconnect all the devices connected on the TV (Ex. Cable box, DVD player, Antenna) 3. While the TV is unplug, press and hold the power button on the TV itself for 20 seconds and then release. 4. Plug it back the and to use a different outlet Please try to do a Factory Reset: 1. Turn on the TV. 2. Press menu button on the remote, then press the number zero (0) button for five times on the remote control 3. Factory Settings/Software Version will pop up 4. Go down and highlight/select "factory reset" and then press the OK button. It will ask, "are you sure you want factory reset?" highlight "Yes" and press OK button again. 5. The TV will shut off, turn it ON and do the setup wizard.
