“Does this have to be plugged into an outlet or is it hardwired?”

• The unit comes in the box with a three pronged wall plug attached, so of course it can be plugged into a wall socket. However, the Installation Manual that comes with it indicates that the unit can be hardwired to a suitable source and it is connected with proper grounding etc. So, it can be installed either way, depending upon your needs.

• This is plugged into an outlet. Wire comes from the top of the unit.
