• No it doesn’t have to be vented. And there’s a aluminum screen. Just rinse it.

• The vent is on top you can also use the top or back of unit for venting you can use no venting it uses filters I have had a horrible time using best buy they have taken 4 months every delivery has been late dishwasher leaks they brought the wrong fridge and forgot the stove would go to home depot instead
