“Our contractor tossed the instructions so I had to go rogue operating & setting it up. The glass tray lines up with the bottom part, but it rotates then stops. Am I missing a piece or is there a trick? Can you provide link to download instructions?”

The first question I would have in mind is: Do you have the support ring with the three little rollers under the glass plate? I h ope your installer didn't thow that away with the box. The turntable will not work correctly (at all) without it.
