• Kim, model GX900QPPS is not Finger Print Resistant Stainless Steel.

• Because the unit is under counter and the controls at the top and foot control at the base, virtually little to no contact is made with the Stainless Steel face. With that I would add that the Compactor is comparable to any Kitchen appliance with a Stainless Steel face and requires very little attention.
