Fire safety I have heard a lot of warnings about above stove microwaves causing fires! How accurate is this!

I was able to install mine without any problems., however if you are not sure of what you are doing you should hire an electrician.

This is our second over the range microwave and we haven't had any fires.Knock on wood. Our first one gave out after 13 years of use so we replaced it. Never heard of this problem.

I have had one in every house I have ever had, and I have never had an issue, nor have I ever seen a report about them causing fires.

I have had an above stove microwave for the last ten years, and I have never had any fires. I can see where not cleaning the filters could cause one though.

I used mine for over 10 years with no issues. I did not check the CPSC website to see what issues had taken place over the last several years, but I had no issues with the ones I have used.
