• Hi Karen, for this Whirlpool - 1.9 Cu. Ft. Convection Over-the-Range Fingerprint Resistant Microwave with Sensor Cooking, Always place the steamer vessel on the glass turntable.Check that the turntable turns freely before starting the microwave oven.

• I wouldn’t place it directly on the turntable because there is no way for air to get underneath it, which is important.
