A:AnswerTo replace the charcoal filter;
Remove 2 screws on the vent grille, slide the vent grille to the
left, tilt it forward, lift it out, and remove the filter. To reinstall,
place the filter into its 2-hook area with the wire mesh side to
the front. Replace the vent grille by inserting the 3 bottom latch
hooks of the vent grille into the front holes, tilt the vent grille
backwards, slide it to the right, and secure with screws.
A:AnswerNOT ADVISABLE> These units are designed to have some space for air flow (In addition to the actual vents). Disturbing this balance can at best shorten the life of your unit and at worst create overheating and safety issues. This is especially true for arrangements above range/stove where they are already subject to increased ambient temperatures. Remember, it's not only the immediate discharge of latent heat but also the pathways for incoming air to exhaust that heat that must be considered. My advice, live with the "Noise" if normal. If not normal, have unit replaced. These are not very serviceable without safety concerns.
A:AnswerInside the microwave there is a light that comes on the entire time it cooks and there is a light underneath that you can turn on with 2 levels of brightness .

A:AnswerIt isn't the loudest of tones. I haven't found a way to increase the volume and really haven't looked. Our kitchen is small so it isn't that big of a factor for us unless we are in another room with the TV on then we have to listen for it.
A:AnswerYes, there is a difference. Fingerprint resistance appliances will say that on the name and are slightly more expensive. Fingerprints really aren't that serious so save your money and just get black stainless steel.
