“I live in Michigan and am considering this model for an insulated, but unheated, garage. The temperature inside usually hovers around freezing. Will this be OK? A saleslady at Home Depot said I would need to unplug it for the winter. Thank you.”

Thank you for your inquiry into our Whirlpool appliances. We apologize, but currently we do not offer any refrigerators that are designed specifically for garage use. Because we cannot predict how the appliance will react in a non-climate controlled setting, putting this unit in the garage would null and void any manufacturer's warranty.
