“What does the audio tone sound like and how many times does it beep (ring, chime, whatever) when the food is done cooking? Does it stop after x number of times or does it continue to repeat until the door is opened? Thanks.”

The signal is a four-note ascending tone that plays a total of three times in succession when the cooking cycle is complete. If the door is not opened or stop button pressed, the four-note ascending tone plays once as a reminder at five minutes after and ten minutes after.

This is why i purchased it. I had the more expensive model last year which quit in 1 1/2 years. some features i din not use any like the remote or Bluetooth cooking. the more digital you go, the more problems. i hope this helps.
