HOW LONG SHOULD IT RUN ON FIRST STARUP null

Great question. It can take up to 24 hours before reaching the proper temperature.

Mine ran for a couple of hours due to setting it to the coolest setting. I've also haven't heard of any noise issues due to the compressor like in some reviews.
