“I would like an answer from Whirlpool as well as customers. Are either the monochromatic stainless steel or stainless steel versions of this model fingerprint-resistant?”

cannot vouch for the monochromatic stainless steel (the cheaper one) but we bought the 'Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel' model WRT311FZDZ for about $260 more and have no problems at all with smudges, fingerprints, etc. We looked at quite a few models of Whirlpool and other brands with stainless steel and then smudge-resistant stainless steel and we did see a big difference. Apparently, if you want smudge / fingerprint resistant, you get what you pay for. We've had the fridge about 45 days now and no prints, even with a 2 year old grandson running around.
