- Answer Mine is actually made in Mexico, that's what it says on the label inside. I called Whirlpool to ask when I saw it and was told this model is made in Mexico. Still seems to work okay. Size is nice and large, laid out pretty well. Still working ok.

- Answer Tim, monochromatic means the sides are grey to match the stainless steel. A stainless steel unit would have black sides.
