Hello! The water filter is located in the base grille. You should change it every 6 months. We hope this helps.

The filter is located behind a flip open access door down low below the freezer door on left side. You basically have to lay down on the floor to see it and get to it. I can't remember if you have to pop the long dust grill first. Generally you shouldn't need to change it more than once a year (if that) unless you have a full household with many people getting water from the door or making a lot have ice. If you notice a change in taste of the water that also could indicate a dirty filter.
