I need the height of this model because of cabinets. However, there is no water line where it will sit. 
Can the icemaker be removed from top of freezer section and replaced with a shelf for more space? null

Yes the ice maker can be removed but it doesn't have slots to add a shelf as far as i can see. Also it took me a few weeks of hearing a strange noise to figure out you must remove the ice maker to turn it off if you do not connect the water line like i chose not to.

Hello HB007, the height of this model is 66 5/8". There are no slots for added shelves where the ice maker is located.
