QuestionCan you tell me why the door finish is shiny/glossy black and the sides and top are the black matte finish? Is this the standard finish? And how do you get the plastic film covering from the seem edge at the top of the door?

- Answer gramsnewfridge, the cabinet finish is textured and the door finish is smooth. That is how the Refrigerator is designed. You should be able to just pull the plastic covering from the unit.
