I remember reading about this. They say to discard ice at least for two days. Even though your water supply is good, the tubings inside the refrigerator may cause this chemical odor. To avoid such issues, we did not hook up the water supply to the ice maker. We make the ice the old fashioned way- in the tray. That works.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When ours was installed they recommended not using the first two or three batches of ice. If they didn't recommend that to you, try cycling through a few batches to see, if it is still a problem.
