The Water Filter indication is on a timer to alert roughly every 6 months. If you do not have the water connection, then disregard the filter alert and reset it every 6 months as needed. We hope this helps.

I presume that your model has an internet connection, and that you are receiving messages on one of your electronic devices. Our refrigerator is simpler and has no such connection, so I can only suggest that you consult the operator's manual for the location of any filter. You might also consult with someone at Best Buy; I'm sure they would be knowledgeable and helpful in the matter.
