• Hi Chris, we can only advise you what the installation guide states. There are no specific instructions saying you can use a permanent hot water supply and drain.

• yes you could, but then I don't understand why you want a portable unit rather than a fixed stationary unit or built in which may be cheaper. A adapter to a faucet is included with unit any other supplies are additional cost for what you might have in mind.
