Hi Cindy, we recommend going by the manufacturer's suggestion otherwise, the "normal" setting is preferred. Here is the link to the Owner's Manual, https://bit.ly/3pEoC4E on page 6 you will find the Dishwasher "Setting" menu. We hope this helps!
