BEWARE... The construction of the Whirlpool is of poor quality. My previous refrigerator was an 11-year-old GE Side by Side, yet even being outdated one can see that the Whirlpool is of poor quality in comparison. For example, the handles and left door are unevenly mounted. The refrigerator's drawers are crooked and stiff, therefore they do not glide open and shut easily. The shelves are flimsy, thin and not adjustable, like shelves held up by 4 pegs on a cheap bookshelf. Superficial scratches, stains, and finger prints show up easily on the "stainless steel" finish which seems to be extremely fragile, poor quality. Manufacturing foam, dried plaster, and grease is visible all over the appliance... What's worse, I've contacted Whirlpool for the following reasons. --The Whirlpool runs loud. It runs significantly louder than as well as runs more often than my previously owned refrigerator of 11 years, which made a quiet hum. --The Whirlpool does not consistently maintain the appropriate temperatures for food storage, freezer at or below 0 degrees and fridge at or below 40 degrees. --The Whirlpool periodically makes a loud whooshing/whistling sound that also does not seem normal. --Frost continues to reoccur along the edge of the freezer door.
