A general rule of thumb for any refrigerator, ac, or device with a compressor for refrigeration is to let the unit rest on a level surface for at least 24 hours. Especially if the unit was tilted beyond a 45 degree angle during transport. Failure to do so could result in catastrophic failure of the compressor due to the oil not being where it should.
