“Does the stainless steel front have any protective coating?”

• Yes - it does have a coating to reduce fingerprints. However, I cannot comment on how good it is compared to other brands except LG. Our LG seemed to be slightly better in that regard, but the LG was not a reliable refrigerator - so I guess not a good alternative :).
