It does open more than 90 degrees. I would estimate it at 135 degrees.

The door opens more than 90 degrees, I would estimate about 150 degrees. There is a stop to prevent the door from open farther.

Door can be hinged to open from either side. Door opens approximately 135 degrees.

The door opens slightly more than 90 degrees, however not completely open, nor lay flat. The door is reversible. Which is why I bought it along with the 15" width.
