Art, The canopy hood is factory set for venting through the roof or wall.For vented installation, the min. ceiling height is 7' 4" and max. ceiling height is 9' 5". Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!
