Both the oven and stovetop of this model are gas [comes set for natural gas and can be changed to propane]. However, one of the safety features on newer gas ovens prevent them from igniting if there is no power. The stovetop burners can be lit with a match or lighter in a power outage, but the oven can not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! In case of prolonged power failure, the surface burners can be lit manually. Hold a lit match near a burner and turn knob counterclockwise to LITE. After burner lights, turn knob to setting. The oven cannot be lit, however.
