Yes, ours has a 90 deg. plug. The door has to swing open past the side of the unit so the shelves can slide out. It swings open about 30 deg. past being straight out.

sorry, I have no idea.. I had it installed in a home I was selling.. I did not see. You can call the manufacturer for that question.. I can't recall the front door issue..normally this quality does not go wider with the door..it slides onto itself if you understand what I mean.. also you have the option of not sitting it back as far..again the manufacturer
 is helpful with your questions.
