Depending on the "pigtail" that you buy, it's about the size of your fist. It has three or four prongs coming out of the side at an angle, and plugs into a 220 volt line. If you're installing a new stove, you should look at the receptacle sticking out of the floor and see which "pigtail" you need. Snap a picture of the receptacle and take it to the store, and they can help you match it.

The cord should be rated at 250 volts minimum, 40 amps or 50 amps that is marked for use with nominal 1³⁄8" (3.5 cm) diameter connection opening and must end in ring terminals or open-end spade terminals with upturned ends.
