“Does the cancel / drain selection drain the dishwasher completely? We are installing a dishwasher in a seasonal home, where temperatures in winter will be below freezing. I am wondering if this feature drains so that the dishwasher does not require the use of RV antifreeze in winter months.”

Dear Curious Girl: It is normal for a small amount of clean water to remain in the bottom of the sump area at the base of the pump. This is to ensure that the pump seal does not dry out.
