Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. To install new line on the WORX WG176, feed the replacement line through the spool head until equal lengths extend from both sides. Adjust the line so that approximately 9.8 feet (3 meters) extends from each side, then rotate the spool cap in the direction marked on the spool to wind the line evenly onto the reel. Continue winding until only a few inches of line remain exposed on each side for trimming. When manually rewinding line onto a spool, be sure to follow the winding direction indicated on the spool and wind the line neatly into the channels to ensure proper feeding during operation.
